Look between curls as well as around the silhouette. Background fragments can remain inside the hair while delicate strands disappear at the edge. Compare against the original before deciding which areas to erase or restore.
Blond or light brown hair against a similarly colored wall gives the model less separation to work with. A darker preview can reveal halos, but it does not restore lost strands by itself. Use manual refinement where it helps.
An edge that looks natural on white may look bright on black. Check the intended background and download only after reviewing both the overall portrait and the fine details. No automatic result is a guarantee of perfect hair matting.
Curly hair and low-contrast hair need different checks. The first sample helps you look through gaps between curls; the second highlights the difficulty of separating hair from a similarly colored scene.

Fine strands may be only a few pixels wide. Motion blur, semi-transparent hair and low contrast against the old scene make a clean mask harder. Dark hair on dark backgrounds and light hair on light backgrounds need different checks.
Inspect both the outer silhouette and the gaps within curly hair. Switch between light and dark preview surfaces: a bright fringe may be invisible on white, while lost light strands can disappear on dark.
Use erase to remove background remnants and restore to bring back original subject pixels. Restore can also bring back the old background, so use a small brush and compare with the source. This is useful for headshots, portraits, profile photos and creator images.
